Get to Know Us
First Christian Church began to worship together in 1843. We are the fourth oldest congregation in Massillon. In 1958 we relocated from downtown to our current worship location on the corner of Wales and Hankins.
We are part of the Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. This denomination has its roots in the 1830's Stone Campbell movement.
This Disciples tradition is very active in missions and unity. Our church especially enjoys mission efforts like the denominational Week of Compassion and Impact Massillon locally.
We honor our heritage as a movement for Christian unity by cooperating and partnering with other faith communities to work for bringing about wholeness – healing and justice – in the world.
We also honor the heritage of Christian unity by staying together in covenant as a witness to the world that even when we disagree we can still make room, welcoming all to the table as Christ has welcomed us.
Greetings from FCC Massillon!
On January 16, 2022, I joined our community as the settled pastor. It is my joy to join the ministry of FCC.
This church knows well what it means to be a family, sharing life and encouragement with one another. You are welcome to join us for Sunday worship or in mission.
May the Lord Bless you and keep you,
